Mental health issues have risen dramatically in Malaysia over the years. According to the 2015 National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS), 29.2% of adult Malaysians (18-65 years old) are estimated to be affected with mental health problems. This means 3 in every 10 adult Malaysians (about 9.6 million) may have mental health problems and at least 2 million adults with serious mental illnesses.
